Abstract

This study intends to analyze the issue presently being discussed at the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court for the correct Constitutional interpretation on taxation of packing, labels, tags, drug description leaflets, the manufacturing process of which has - in any stage - the work of any graphic or similar nature (such as typesetting, phototypesetting, stereotype printing, zincography, lithography or photolithography) about which the States intend to impose ICMS (Tax on Circulation of Goods) and the local governments the ISS (Tax on Services).
